London Grammar Album Launch
The Brief
To support the release of their sophomore album, London Grammar needed a campaign that visually captured the emotional depth and restraint of their sound. The brief called for something minimal yet cinematic—spanning physical formats, social media, and out-of-home placements to build recognition, mood, and momentum ahead of release.
The Challenge
The band’s ethereal sound and lyrical intimacy required a design approach rooted in space, contrast and tone. We leaned into stillness, letting the title speak volumes across carefully curated formats.
- The album cover and vinyl packaging featured stark portraiture and clean typographic structure, creating an instant sense of emotional gravity
- Billboard and flyposter executions took this further—scaling the phrase “Truth Is a Beautiful Thing” in bold, spaced-out type, allowing tension and air to do the work
- On social, we created a series of elegant posts and stories—alternating between lyric fragments, desert landscapes, and minimalist type-based assets
- The color palette remained muted and organic throughout—mirroring the record’s tone while standing out through restraint
The Result
A campaign that let the music lead. By stripping back the noise, we allowed the record’s mood and message to resonate visually. Each asset—physical or digital—contributed to a cohesive world that felt cinematic, understated and true to the band's identity. The result: an elevated launch that honored both the aesthetic and emotional core of the album.
