Live At The Cider House
Brand Identity and socials

The Challenge
To brand and promote a new stand-up comedy night, Live at the Cider House, hosted by Toussaint Douglass. The client wanted a visual identity that was playful, modern, and rooted in the community vibe of the event’s East London venue. The goal: attract local audiences, reflect the laid-back energy of the show, and stand out across digital and physical platforms.

The Solution
I created a bold, cohesive identity anchored by a custom logo combining a retro microphone and apple stem—a playful nod to the show’s name and the cider house setting. The typography is dynamic and hand-crafted, giving the logomark a fun, rustic energy aligned with grassroots comedy culture.

To support event promotion, I designed a series of assets including:
- A mobile-optimized show poster featuring host Toussaint Douglass.
- A suite of custom illustrations (laughing teeth, apples, mics) for use as digital stickers and social posts.
- A high-impact color scheme of black, gold, and white, providing strong contrast and visibility both online and on-location.

The Results
The new brand system has helped Live at the Cider House stand out from the (laughing) crowd. It has elevated the professionalism of their visual presence while maintaining the charm and warmth of a local community event. Since the rebrand, the show has seen growth in both attendance and social engagement, with a loyal fan base that continues to build each month.
